6th Grade Outdoor Education
In the fall, the 6th grade travels to the San Bernardino Mountains for their Outdoor Education trip. This year’s three-day trip to the Pali Institute’s San Bernardino mountain camp facility runs from Wednesday, September 28 to Friday, September 30.
While there, students will have the opportunity to hike, navigate their way through a high ropes course, stargaze, and get to know their classmates better through team-building activities and shared mealtimes.
Here at Berkeley Hall, we have discovered that the experience is much more than an outdoor trip. This trip promises to hold lifelong memories and build friendships on which to launch an outstanding 6th grade experience.
The educational program is led by instructors from PALI Institute who are highly trained and do a fabulous job of introducing young people to the mountains and all they have to offer. Two or more Berkeley Hall teachers will chaperone this trip.
To prepare for this trip, please fill out the two (2) permission forms - one for BHS and one for PALI. You will receive an email directly from Campdoc with instructions on how to complete the online Pali Institute Registration form. You'll also need to complete the online BHS permission form. Parent's questions will be answered at an upcoming informational Zoom meeting. Look out for an announcement and link.

Your child's space has already been reserved and all 6th grade BHS students are expected to take part in the trip. Please let us know as soon as possible if there are special health circumstances that would prevent your child from attending. Medicine Information Form
If your child needs to have medicine at school or on a field trip, please complete the form and place it inside the bag with the medicine when you deliver it to the Front Office. Please keep medicine in its original packaging.
