At Berkeley Hall, we are deeply committed to promoting socioeconomic diversity in our community. Families received $1.7 million for the 2024-25 school year in tuition assistance from Kindergarten to 8th grade.
Our Tuition Assistance program is designed to make a Berkeley Hall education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. We now partner with Clarity to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application (including assets, income, expenses, and debts).
The deadline for completing a Clarity tuition assistance application is Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
If you need support completing your application, Clarity offers app assistance through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.
Please reach out to email us with any questions and concerns.
We value your family and we want to support your desire to have a Berkeley Hall education for your child(ren). Any family may apply with the understanding that aid at Berkeley Hall is granted based on demonstrated need, with priority given to returning students already receiving tuition assistance.
It is the policy of the school that no family applying for assistance will be granted 100% of the tuition and fees. Every award is made for one year and may be renewed subject to completion of the Tuition Assistance process each year.
In case of separation or divorce, both custodial and non-custodial parents are required to complete the school's Tuition Assistance process.
We will release the 2025-26 online re-enrollment contracts with a preliminary Tuition Assistance Grant in late January 2025.
Every family applying for assistance must adhere strictly to the application deadlines. We will base your family's preliminary tuition assistance grant on a properly completed Clarity Application.
To get started, please create an account with Clarity. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. It is mobile-friendly and you can save your progress and return at any time. For a more detailed overview, visit the Clarity Family Application Guide.
Your 1040 and W2 documents from 2023 will be automatically transferred from the IRS when you complete the verification step through the Clarity application. These documents no longer need to be uploaded manually.
The fee to submit your Clarity application is $60. This is a flat fee, meaning that it does not change if you apply for multiple children or to multiple schools.
Once your application has been submitted, you may receive requests to upload additional documents. You’ll be able to upload those documents in the Documents section in your Clarity portal.
The deadline for completing the Clarity tuition assistance application is Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
