During their final year at BHS, the Eight-Grade class embarks on a week-long Outdoor Education backpacking trip to High Sierra. While there, students have the opportunity to hike, rock scramble, investigate the natural ecosystems, and learn stewardship of the earth first hand. The 7th-grade class ventures to Catalina Island to study at the Catalina Island Marine Institute at Toyon Bay for three days during the first semester the year. At the start of their first year in Middle School, the entire Sixth-Grade class goes on an overnight, multi-day Outdoor Education trip to the San Bernardino Mountains. to experience learning in a different way.
