2nd Grade Hopes and Dreams
“My hope and dream for second grade is reading
more books and writing more letters.”
“My hope for second grade is to have a good education
in math and to get better at it."
“My hope and dream for second grade is to have the
best learning year ever!”
“My hope and dream is that I get to take care of the class pet for a week.”
Second graders have been dreaming and hoping of ways that will make this school year wonderful. But a hope or a dream can’t come true without a little bit of work and dedication. The students realized that they had to do their part in order for their dreams to come true. They talked as a class and developed classroom promises that would help them achieve their hopes and dreams. In order to read more books and write more, to get better at math and to have the “best learning year ever,” students must be focused and do their best! Second graders work to be responsible and helpful in order to help take care of a class pet (Rio, the Betta fish). To make any dreams come true, the students decided that they should always be alert and safe.
As a class, they wrote up their four classroom promises through interactive writing, drew pictures, and signed the document. So step into their class if you’d like to see some hopes and dreams coming true every day!
