Biodiversity Contest

BHS has submitted 50 entries to a national art/photography contest celebrating biodiversity. The intent of the contest is to get kids outside, looking at the plants and animals found in nature. No pets, dogs, cats, horses, or farm animals could be depicted. This contest is sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service, The Department of Fish and Game, and The World Wildlife Fund, among others. Over 5,000 entries were submitted nationally!
While it would be exciting if someone from our school placed in the contest – which means competing with high school students as well – we celebrate the diverse and creative body of work created by our students all through the year. Even though this is the most entries we've ever been able to submit to a contest, it still was quite a challenge to choose from the large number of excellent art and photography pieces that did fit the specific criteria.
