High Schools Meet our Bobcats

Seventh and eighth grade students and their families connected with representatives of high schools right here on our campus at our annual High School Fair this week.

“This event is unique to our school and is held for BHS students only,” said Dr. Colmaire. “We bring together a variety of categories, including independent, Catholic, boarding, and single gender schools in our city and beyond.”

Among the participants were local schools such as Buckley, Campbell Hall, and Harvard Westlake, as well as others as far afield as Oaks Christian, Chadwick, Sierra Canyon, and Viewpoint. At this student-focused event, Bobcats talked with admissions directors on their lists and also considered new options. They also heard from alumni who returned to share about their experiences. This is part of the our ongoing high school placement process that includes the eighth grade High School Readiness course where students reflect on how to present themselves as candidates, and learn important skills ranging from decision-making to etiquette.
