5th Grade Native American Project Presentation

Over the course of the first trimester fifth grade students studied four major Native American tribes (Navajo, Makah, Cheyenne, and Iroquois). They worked in groups to conduct research both using technology and informational text to discover how a certain tribe organized themselves and adapted to their environment. After students researched their tribe, they worked in groups to make a presentation either in the form of a PowerPoint presentation, poster, or picture book. Students then presented their findings to the class and discussed the similarities or differences between tribes.
